Active Ingredients
1.68 mg MOMETASONE FUROATE (as monohydrate), 2.08 mg POSACONAZOLE and 6.88 mg GENTAMICIN (as sulfate) per dose (0.8mL).
Indications
MOMETAMAX ULTRA suspension for dogs is a single application anti-inflammatory, antifungal and broad-spectrum antibacterial suspension indicated for the treatment of acute canine otitis externa caused by mixed infections of susceptible strains of bacteria sensitive to gentamicin (Staphylococcus pseudintermedius) and fungi sensitive to posaconazole (Malassezia pachydermatis).
Dosage and administration
Shake well before use.
Auricular use. Single treatment.
The recommended dosage is a single dose of 0.8 mL for each infected ear.
MOMETAMAX ULTRA contains 20 x 0.8 mL doses. After withdrawal of the first dose, use the remainder within 3 months or discard any unused portions 3 months after opening. The maximum clinical response may not be seen until 28 days after administration.
Contraindications
- DO NOT USE in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substances.
- DO NOT USE if the eardrum is perforated.
- DO NOT USE in pregnant or breeding animals.
- DO NOT USE concurrently with substances known to cause ototoxicity.
- DO NOT USE in dogs with generalised demodicosis.
